HIPAA STATEMENT

UMG / DEL MEDICAL works with industry groups to ensure that the products and services it provides meet or exceed industry standards with respect to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). These products and services are specifically designed to include features that help our clients comply with HIPAA.

The Digital Solutions offered by UMG / DEL MEDICAL utilize a database that employs a secure login process requiring a username and password. When a user adds or modifies data within the database, a record is made that includes which data was changed, the user ID, and the date and time the change was made. This establishes an audit trail that can be examined by authorized system administrators. In addition, the Product Support Staff at UMG / DEL MEDICAL will work with clients to help implement products in a HIPAA compliant environment. All remote access to client patient information by the Product Support Staff will be made using a fully encrypted protocol.

In an effort to remain compliant, our routine security standards include the monitoring of federal statutes. We continuously implement the highest security levels possible as marked by managerial procedures that are teamed with technological innovation. Our focus is to protect the confidentiality of all privileged patient and client information stored internally and transferred over public networks.
